On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the Oddfellows (Stórstúkan) the Women’s Shelter was generously funded; thirty two million ISK to fund two apartments, apartments #105 and # 106, in the building which will host the Shelter’s transitional home.
The gift was followed with beautiful words who describe well the work in which the prospective residents of the house have on their hands; Sometimes you need courage and determination to move forward in life. By looking inward, looking with a positive view on yourself and look for the strengths, one finds the courage which is necessary to carry on and keep going.
We thank the generous fund and the warm words towards the Shelter and our people.
