Location of shelters

The Women’s Shelter Association runs two shelters for women in Iceland.

The executive director of the Association for Women’s Shelters is Linda Dröfn Gunnarsdóttir, her e-mail is linda@kvennaathvarf.is

One shelter is located in Reykjavík and the other is in Akureyri. There is a 24-hour shift on the shelters’ phones, both in Reykjavík and in Akureyri. Services for women and children who have to flee their homes due to violence are comparable in both shelters.
